THINGS TO KNOW

BRINGING FIREARMS
TO CANADA

In order to bring firearms into Canada, each hunter must complete the form below and submit a $25.00 fee to the Government of Canada.

WHAT TO BRING

Weather in Saskatchewan changes quickly and is sporadic.  Please be prepared to dress warm.

Gear to bring:

  • Hunting clothes (hat/hood/toque - these must be orange or red, warm jacket)

  • Warm pants (can be any colour or camo - except Camo orange or white is illegal) 

  • Outer layer of jacket (must be red, orange, or white)

  • Warm boots

  • Hand and foot warmers

  • Scent eliminator spray (optional)

  • Weapons and ammunition (be sure to complete the firearms form)

  • Camera or phone

  • Reusable water bottle

  • Shower towel

  • Bag or backpack to carry gear, snacks, water while you are in your stand or blind

  • Prescription medication

  • Thermacell (optional - these are great tools to keep the bugs away)

  • We recommend hunters/anglers purchase medical and travel insurance

WHERE TO STAY

Book your hotel room in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan before your hunt as well as after your hunt (if needed).

 

You will need to book your room early as hunting season is a busy hotel season in our province.
